The internal evidence supports the idea that our Lord's prophecy in Matthew 24-25, Mark 13, and Luke 21 was fulfilled
during apostolic times.
Note that Jesus told them ...
...when you see all these things (Matt. 24:33)
...when you see these things happening (Mark 13:29)
...when you see these things (Luke 21:31)
Not, ( if ) you see, but (when) you see all these things. And some of them lived to experience and see our Lord's prophecy
unfold. AND this unfolding extends from ACTS - REVELATION.
So it was THEM who would actually live to SEE the book of Revelation unfold. Please note the scriptures

OUR LORD'S PROPHECY
Predicted
Matthew 24:9...Mark 13:9-13...Luke 21:2... they will persecute you; you will be flogged; delivered to prison; stand trial
before governors and kings; and shall kill you.
Fulfilled
Acts 4:1-3...5:40...7:58-60...12:1-5...16:22-24...18:12-17...24:10-27...25:6-12, 23...26:32... they were put in prison,
flogged, stoned, killed, beaten with rods, stood before governors and kings.
Predicted
Matthew 24:14...Mark 13:10... and this gospel will be preached in all the world to all nations.
Fulfilled
Romans 16:25-26...Colossians 1:5-6, 23... the gospel has been preached to all nations and to all the world.
Predicted
Matthew 24:11, 24...Mark 13:22-23... many false prophets will arise; and show great signs to deceive.
Fulfilled
1 John 4:1...2 John 1:7...Revelation 13:11-14...16:13-14...19:20...20:10... many false prophets have gone out into the
world; many deceivers have gone out; the false prophet performs great signs to deceive.
Predicted
Matthew 24:7, 21...Mark 13:8, 19...Luke 21:11... there will be famines, earthquakes, and great tribulation, and signs
from heaven.
Fulfilled
Revelation 1:9...6:12...7:14...9:20...12:1-7...18:8... I, John, fellow partaker in the tribulation; there was a great
earthquake; the great tribulation; a great sign appeared in heaven; pestilence and famine.
Predicted
Matthew 24:29...Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give
its light; the stars shall fall from heaven and the powers from heaven will be shaken.
Fulfilled
Revelation 6:12-13...the sun became black; the moon became like blood; the stars of heaven fell to the earth.
Predicted
Luke 23:28-30... Jesus said; the days are coming; then they will say to the mountains, Fall on us" and to the hills "Cover
us".
Fulfilled
Revelation 6:15-17...and they said to the mountains and rocks "Fall on us and hide us; from the wrath of the Lamb.
Predicted
Luke 21:24... and Jerusalem will be trampled under foot by the Gentiles.
Fulfilled
Revelation 11:1-2... and they will tread under foot the holy city for forty-two months.
Please note that Jesus told His disciples 2000 years ago that they would live to see these things
and the scriptures teach that our Lord's prophecy came true.

All that our Lord predicted came true. It was THEM and not US today who lived to see our Lord's prophecy unfold.
IMMEDIATELY after the tribulation (Matt. 24:29) our Lord returned to gather, judge and
seperate the nations; and yes, the rapture took place at His coming... Please read... Matthew 24:29-31...25:31-46... and First
Thessalonians 4:13 - 18.
The Son of Man (Jesus) would be seen coming on the clouds, with power, glory
and angels and the sound of a trumpet.
For the Son of Man will come in
the glory of His father with His angels, and then He will reward (judge)
each according to his works. Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who will
not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom...( Matt.
16:27-28 )
And the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel,
and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then
we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet
the Lord in the air...( 1 Thess. 4:16-17 )
When the Son of Man comes in His Glory, and all the holy Angels
with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He
will seperate them one from another...( Matt. 25:31-32 )
They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with
power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of
a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect...( Matt. 24:30-31 )
The New Testament provides the evidence that the (predictions) taught by Jesus were (fulfilled); and
that some of (them) lived to see it all come true.
THE CONTEXT
...also, when you see all these things, know that it is near ( Matt. 24:33
)
...therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming ( Matt. 24:44 )
...watch therefore, for you know neither the day or hour in which the Son of Man is coming ( Matt.
25:13 )
...so you also, when you see these things ( Mark 13:29 )
...take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when that time is ( Mark 13:33 )
...now when these things began to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your
redemption draws near ( Luke 21:28 )
...So you, likewise, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near ( Luke
21:31 )
All that our Lord predicted came true; and some of THEM lived to see it all.
